Toru Suzuki is the Head of Development and Regulatory Policy, Regulatory Affairs Japan at Novartis Pharma K.K. in Tokyo. In this role, he leads the policy team and oversees the analysis of the regulatory environment using both external and internal data. His responsibilities include shaping policy through activities within trade associations. Toru started his career at Novartis Pharma K.K. and has been engaged in pharmaceutical development for over 15 years. Prior to his current role, he held various leadership positions in project teams focused on regulatory events across multiple therapeutic areas within Regulatory Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. in Orthopedic Surgery from Keio University in Japan and an MPH from Lund University in Sweden.
