Ms. Sema Hashemi is a Senior International Policy Advisor in the Office of Global Policy and Strategy (OGPS) within FDA’s Office of the Commissioner. Her portfolio focuses on bilateral and regional engagements with Canada, East Asia, the Pacific, Middle East and North Africa. Sema joined FDA in 1998 and has made significant contributions to FDA with her leadership and regulatory experience, having worked in the organization for over 25 years and in almost every geographical region. Prior to this position, she served as the Supervisor for the Global Engagements Team, Director of the Office of Regional and Country Affairs (ORCA) and held several positions as Deputy Director, ORCA, and Acting Director of the Asia-Pacific Office.
