Dr. Nikolay P. Nikolov is a board-certified Internist and Rheumatologist and is currently the Director of the Office of Immunology and Inflammation, CDER. During rheumatology fellowship at NIAMS, NIH, he studied cellular and molecular mechanisms of autoimmunity. Then, at the Sjögren's Syndrome Clinic at the NIH he conducted clinical and translational research in SLE and SjS. At the FDA, Dr. Nikolov is involved in the regulatory review of immuno-modulatory therapies, including small molecules, biologics, and biosimilars, for the treatment of pediatric and adult diseases in rheumatology, solid organ transplant, dermatology, dentistry, gastroenterology, pulmonology, critical care, allergology, hepatology.
