About me
Dr. Stancato is a cancer biologist at the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute, pursuing his passion to bring life-saving therapies to children with cancer. Upon his retirement from Eli Lilly and Company, Dr. Stancato had 26 years of comprehensive drug discovery experience, and became a passionate and vocal advocate for developing novel therapies for children with cancer. In 2016, he developed the concept for a multi-national, EU funded IMI2 public-private partnership spanning 30 institutions across 8 countries entitled ITCC-P4, which he co-led with Dr. S. Pfister from the DKFZ. As of 2024, the ITCC-P4 NPO supports the development of data driven preclinical data packages for rational clinical drug development for children with cancer.
