About me
I am an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and the Division of General Internal Medicine at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. In addition, I am faculty within the Center for Applied Health Research on Aging (CAHRA) with expertise in behavioral medicine, primary care psychology, health literacy information design, and qualitative research methods. Specifically, I am interested in the quality of written educational materials surrounding medical treatments, medication risks and proper use, the ways the health system may contribute to limited patient understanding, and the barriers to scientific advancement in the field of risk communication.
