About me
Thos Cochrane is a medical ethicist, neuromuscular neurologist, and specialist in drug development for rare diseases. He currently directs the Fellowships in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School (HMS). He has completed two fellowships in medical ethics and was the first Director of Neuroethics at the HMS Center for Bioethics. He was the Global Medical Lead for ALS at Biogen from 2020-2023, and developed the global expanded access program for tofersen in SOD1-ALS, which has provided access to tofersen to over 600 people with SOD1-ALS in over 40 countries. From 2023-2024 he led the clinical development program for Stathmin-2 for ALS at QurAlis, Inc. He continues to consult for industry on ethics and study design.
