Mr. Daisuke Koga is the Director of the Office of International Strategy and Planning, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) of Japan. He started his career in 1996 at the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Japan. He worked in the Ministry on drugs, medical devices, food additives, controlled substances, research grants, and global health. From 2011 to 2014, he served as a Technical Officer at WHO HQ in Geneva for the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring. From July 2023 to March 2025, he served as Director of the Office of International Regulatory Affairs, Pharmaceutical Safety Bureau, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) of Japan.
